Speakeasy

The Firefly, Worcester, January 30th 2006

Speakeasy is an open mic event devoted to the written and spoken word. This was the first event of its kind in the city, and it was very well attended.

Glenn was privileged to be the second performer on stage, and the only one reading prose.  Quite an opening night for us, the first public reading of the first Skaler short story, According to Bill.

By spooky coincidence the story actually follows Skaler performing at a Blues Clubs, and Glenn followed musician Jake Flowers, who performed exactly the kind of set he went on to describe.

A very good night and an unforgettable reception.
