Marlborough Knight

Cigar Smoking Dragon with an unusual Lighter...

It's been an ambition of Glenn's for a while to draw a series of Dragons, but it was always something that concerned him slightly.  They have to be fearsome, they have to have teeth, and look like they could put a rural community somewhere in terror of their lives.

He also long cherished an idea about a Dragon using a Knight like a Cigarette lighter, and wanted to combine the two.

The result is the drawing you see, which he called 'Marlborough Knight', playing on the nobility of Churchill's Ancestor the Duke of Marlborough, and the very popular brand of fags. He actually drew the neck fins and wings separately, and burned them with a candle before attaching them, which gives the beast an infernal touch.
