Mall Galleries - Open Exhibition

Mall Galleries, London, April 10th - April 19th 2007

Glenn's Frankenstein tribute Grimm's Tales was part of the 12th Annual Exhibition of the Society for Art of Imagination, at Mall Galleries, London.  The show was a great opportunity to honour Universal's Frankenstein Director, James Whale and Boris Karloff.

James Whale came from Dudley, and used to sketch at the Castle as a student.  Glenn used to pass this Gothic ruin enroute to college every day when he began writing Skaler, and Whale acted as a guiding inspiration.

The drawing also acknowledges his influence by early German Expressionist Cinema and the great unspoken Gothic influence of the Brothers Grimm; as Henry Frankenstein is shown reading their Fairy Tales to his creature.
