Maimed Original Fiction By Hazel Marcus Ong (Issue 3 of Murky Depths) A dreamlike fantasy story, picking up the legend of The Pied Piper and explaining what could have really happened. The tale is told by Old Tomas, the crippled child of the myth, many years after it happened. The author lives on an island on the Equator, and is a lover of Fairy Tales, mythology, and words like 'Luminal' and 'Numinous'. As the author of many short stories, in Maimed, Hazel has written something truly both beautiful and disturbing. This was Glenn's first published magazine illustration, and he researched The Pied Piper myth extensively.
