Le Therapeute

Original Poetry By Graham Hartill
(Issue 4 of Trespass)

Trespass Magazine, (sister to The London Magazine), is a publication devoted to contemporary, dark and controversial artwork and poetry, so Glenn is very proud to have been asked to contribute.

He illustrated the Poem Le Therapeute (The Physician), a poem inspired by the sculpture of the same name by Magritte.

The Poem, uses the metaphor of sickness being trapped within the cage of the skeleton in our bodies, clearly referencing Magritte's use of a cage as the body in his sculpture. Glenn really liked the idea of humans, who have been half turned into birds by some contagious blight, locking a soul in the form of a tiny Angel into the cage of the body.
