Earl Grey and Cobwebs When I was young my work always gravitated towards the Gothic, but it wasn't really focused on a specific idea... Until one night in 1994, where in a dream I met a young vampire called Skaler, talking to a skull... Pow, lightning struck! This dream drove me on to write a novel, to create the Skaler Gallery on this site, and to develop my own style, Pre-Raphaelite Goth. The inspiration seemed to unlock my imagination. It definitely inspired a career in radio, as a courtroom reporter and in my full time profession as an artist and writer. Leading me on to not only seek publication of my Skaler work but also to undertake other gothic endeavours. Such as the American Comic Book, The Reluctant Ghost Hunter, and dark illustrations for magazines such as Murky Depths and Trespass. It's all dark stuff which I hope will stick in your mind; if not necessarily bite your neck. Glenn James Gothic Artist & Writer |
