Drawing Technique

Glenn maps out a line drawing in pencil, and goes over that with ink, and then works into the outline and gradually fills it in.

If he is working in colour, then he works over the inked areas with colour pencil, and brings out the highlights with Chinagraph; the slightly oily texture they produce is wonderful for deepening colour.  (His colour drawings have a slightly blue tint, as a tribute to the twilight effects of the Hammer Horror movies.)

He works mainly on white mounting board, which is durable to carry around, and has a compressed surface ideal for using a Biro.
